yup haha known him for a while! small world!
Also saw that you are hoping to go into entertainment design? I think I remember you telling me that when we talked. hope you get it! It can get really tough and competitive >_<. I was originally going into the entertainment design but now I'm going to go into the entertainment arts instead. I have a friend whos about to send in his portfolio though this coming week for the entertainment design. The dead line is october 1st I think for spring 2013.
Are you applying this week also? or next year for the fall 2013 term?
nice to see you on DA! following you!
I guess I just want to get into designing the REALLY detailed, cool looking stuff so I'm trying to do everything I can to get better. I'm considering doing that fashion drawing class next semester so that I can get a better understanding of garment construction.
I'm not applying this week, I haven't really got much of a portfolio and what I do have is a little messy so I want to kind of focus it more. And there are some skills that I need to develop more, like drawing environments and what not. So probably next year.
I gotta get over to art center and talk to someone in admissions there and see what I can/need to do to help my portfolio out a bit.
good to see you too! See you in class! and thanks for the watch! n_n
The biggest difference between the two programs is that entertainment design also has part of the industrial design major integrated into it. for instance they have this project that everyone in entertainment design has to do. you have to design a helmet or head piece and then actually make it! but like a real, legit realistic helmit. cant find the link on it at the moment, but they are so totally awesome!! omg mindblowing!!
entertainment arts is one of the four (or three?) areas of focus in the illustration major. This is what I'm shooting for. its only the art, and designing, not so much the making of things??? Im not 100% clear on everything, i know Im forgetting one big difference also which made me change from design to arts...... I forgot......I know that I want to be in arts now more than design.
yea this fashion class is different!! this teacher definitely knows her stuff!! she may give you these tasks that seem COMPLETELY crazy but OMG!! the results are really something else. and its everyone in the class getting better not just me or that guy over there. its everyone.
hahah good luck!! If I were you I would start meeting with the counselors at art center now. They can really help give you some feedback and tell you what you need more of or if you need to work more in a certain area.
Also you can always ask Noah, or me, or any of the teachers at school.
good luck with everything!!
